Anyway going back to the thread I'm so glad that posh don't have cheesy music when a goal is scored. I just hate that.
Coming out of the tunnel I would like some high energy music, perhaps "Breathe" from Prodigy.
Like others have said , I'm not sure the PA would do it justice though.

peterborough oo oo

which echoed wonderfully around stamford bridge after vic crowe scored his goal
that was our best chant, sadly lost in the mists of time to be replaced by the g*d awful Que sera sera
We are not really talking about 'chants.' This thread is about signature music for the team when coming out onto the pitch. I tend to agree about the "ooh, ooh Peterborough, ooh, ooh Peterborough' chant.
Some people disagree strongly about music being played at all at football games but many others do have their favourites. Meh, not really bothered as long as it is better quality than the current speakers are able to deliver!

The origins of Post Horn Gallop seem a bit tenuous, as a Posh song there is no real link between the Petreborough are and Foxhunting. Leicester on the other hand are nicknamed The Foxes and have a great (if that be the correct word) of Foxhunting in the area. For all that I did enjoy in the 50s and 60s hearing it as it meant the action was about to commence.
The Fitzwilliam Hunt is based just the other side of the first Peterborough town ship, Bretton, at Milton Hall. When I was kid living in Oundle we used to pedal our way around the Countryside following another local hunt, the name of which I have forgotten. Personally the Post Horn Gallop just grates on me and shows no improvement over some of the other 'toons' we have heard being played, if fact coming through the terrible London Road speakers it is an embarrassment! (Tin helmet at the ready! )
Wasn't there a Helpston Hunt as well?

(like the Post Horn Gallop myself)

Absolutely agree with others on this thread that cheesy music (or any music for that matter) after a goal should not be allowed. If we don't have the Post Horn Gallop, when the players RUN out, then "Posh We Are" is the only alternative, which has got me singing along with the feeling, we're gonna conquer the league.

And yes the Post Horn Gallop brings back memories of supporting Posh in the 60's

Haven't been to Fortress Abax since I witnessed a capitulation against Brimingham a few years back, so I am unaware of what goes on, but most teams seem to play some awful cheesy stuff after their teams score I recall Palace playing Glad All Over

Not traditional but I love Move on up after we've won a league game.
