Scunny are having a wobble, and we all know what the best cure for that is.

Yep, a midweek game under the floodlights at Fortress ABAX, in front of 4,000 hardy souls, 90% of whom will groan their way through proceedings. Might be best to extend Leo's rest here...

It'll be a tough game but we have to focus on ourselves and the lads are in good form.

We have another game against woefully out of form opponents at the weekend, so this should be a good week right? One where we get our play-offs bid back on track?
With the manager we have?

Rallying cry from Grant on his Twitter tonight....

We need your support...The lads are working hard etc etc, usual stuff.

He's got 16 games to save his job.

Russell Slade also now available, left GRIMSBY last night.

Total nonsense all this new manager talk as I don't think that DMac will make the same mistake of getting rid of another manager this quickly again. There are maybe eight or nine teams that are likely to be contesting that last playoff place and any of those could put a run together and snatch that final spot. He realises that loyalty is important within a football club and even if we remain just outside the playoffs at the end of the season I would be very surprised if he sacked Grant even then.

Russell Slade, a man with a wealth of experience behind him. His CV sees him as a caretaker at Sheffield Utd where he lasted just three games. The highest that he has ever managed was at Cardiff for 82 games and here he had a win ratio of 37.2%. His highest ratio was 42.6% at Leyton Orient and all his other clubs have been in the lower divisions. He won just 11 of his 43 games at Grimsby. At present Grant has a win ratio of 41.2%.
No thanks Brian, as I think that Russell has had his day.

A Grimsby club statement acknowledged the team had been "extremely unlucky" recently.
"The board would like to place on record their disappointment with this outcome, but believe there is little choice but to move forward with a new management team," the club statement added.
"As highlighted in recent weeks, this is not a decision we have taken lightly.
"While the board continued to back Russell throughout the season and the recent transfer window, yesterday's 3-0 defeat and a winless run of 12 games cannot be ignored.
"Despite speculation to the contrary, Russell was on a six-month rolling contract, allowing the club the flexibility to make this decision.

I don't think 'win ratios' come into this Ashman....

Darragh has thrown a lot at promotion this season including holding onto M & M and spending 500k in this latest window. As he said on Twitter last night...He expects nothing less than a play off spot and it's time management and players delivered....'it's a results business"

He hasn't exactly endorsed McCann over the past couple of weeks and whilst he'll probably stick with him until the season is over, failure to reach the play offs could see him go.

I don't see the point of another rookie manager though...If he was to move McCann on, he's surely got to go with someone who's been there and done it at this level.

Grant uses Twitter about as often as bristleposh watches The Best Of Stewart Lee.

100% under pressure.

Not sure what he wants? There might be as many as 4,200 Posh fans on Tuesday to look on quietly while it rains.

Honestly, have never seen the point of messages like this.

I'll be at the Scunny game tomorrow and would have been whether GM put out this rallying cry or not.

Can't believe messages like this change anyone's actions one jot.

If anything they send out the wrong message. No pun intended.

I'm sure everyone....Bar Ceenitall...wants McCann to succeed.

This is a manager though....Who by his own admission...Makes game changing mistakes on a regular basis.

They aren't all of a sudden going to stop...and I just don't see success under him.
