Gut feeling is he'll stay unless we're offered silly money, as in £5m+ plus the usual sell-on chunk.

100% Championship class and may well turn out PL class imo.

Would be a decent bit of business at five millballs given we paid less than 10% of that figure.

darragh..."most definately not at those figures, no chance"

we may hold onto him in january,..but i can't see him here next season.

imo..he'll be even better playing off a good front man.

Precisely. It's no good people saying that we need a player to partner Marriott up front if we go straight ahead and sell him. We have made these kind of mistakes before, selling Washington and Boyd and then having to suffer the consequences of the sales. It is a bit different this time as Jack is nowhere near the end of his contract unlike the aforementioned.
If Dmac genuinely cannot afford someone to partner Marriott then we will have to hope that Junior will step up and do the job. I guess that is what will happen and another central defender will be sought, Jack Baldwin will be sold (hopefully) and another hard man midfielder, ala Anthony Grant will be found. Easy ain't it, NOT!

I wouldn't worry as HITC is a bit like that old transfer rumours site that seems to have disappeared. The "journos" make Swanny look like a good one

I've got the car running just in case. It would be a nice feeling knowing that we can save a goal a game if we can sell him or give him away

May well be garbage but I love this time of year, as the speculation starts building. Transfer windows were a great invention.

Imagine what we could do with £4m...sell JM, go out and buy Jack Payne, Kieffer Moore, Bondy and a right-back, and have £££ left over.

Aston VIlla manager Steve Bruce has distanced himself from a move for striker Lewis Grabban in January by saying he has no money to spend.

“I have said for three months I am looking at loans.

“How can I be linked with Lewis Grabban? I haven’t got the money.

“Put a line through it.”

Same for JM then presumably.

Or how about 3.5 million in Dmacs pocket and 500k to spend on long contracts for more non league rubbish!

When you consider how much the club owes Darragh (and I'm not part of his Twitter fawn club) you can't blame him for taking any of it back. That said I don't believe there's any evidence that he does that. Unless you know differently? Given the success we've had with signing Grant and Taylor it proves that a bit more experience blended with some of our better younger talent would seem to be the right way forward imho

Next summer, yes...

Think we'll be OK in January though because Darragh will just price him out of the market.
