Cobblers going mental this window. So many panic signings, although Van Veen is a good one.

This will either be a major flop or a major success.

Same with Nabi.
The club are not entirely blameless here though....
Handing out long contracts and good wage packets to players unproven at anywhere near league one level is coming back to bite them in the arse.
This is a very tricky one. We have become, quite rightly, a club who will take a gamble on a lower league player, give him a decent contract whereas elsewhere he would be looking at a truncated time at league level.
Ricky Miller came to us as a prolific goalscorer from the lower levels and could quite easily have become a fantastic acquisition.
Adil Nabi came from WBA (I think!) and was very well thought of by their fans and they were surprised when he left and came to us.
Unfortunately it is what we do. We Buy these players with potential and almost inevitably some fall by the wayside.

On the other side of the coin we have bought and nurtured loads of excellent players who have gone on further in the game and made us loads of money through selling and add on fees; Boyd, CMS, McLean, Washington, Assombalonga, Gale, Marriott to name a few.

Maybe DMac has to realise that Miller and Nabi are just players of the former type, and swallow his pride and get rid of really quickly. I think that Miller would be one of the first players that he has actually lost money on if he lets him go to exactly where he wants, and quickly.
Miller was a free transfer.

Nabi cost 1 pence.

The only money we've lost on them is their wages.

Think you've done Nabi a disservice there. Pretty sure he was a whole £1

we will do....i'd taken that into account
Unlikely that both scenarios will pan out though. It's a shame, but resources plus money restrictions from the FL may just scupper that anyway.
Not necessarily.

If we can get Gormley out and off our wage bill, it may open the way for another striker to come in.

Basically that clown is threatening to ruin our season. For the umpteenth time.

If he genuinely is a Posh fan he'd do the right thing.
I think youre letting your hatred of Miller run away with you Chompy. If miller had accepted one of these offers, whoever they were from, but DM has previously suggested they were Northern based, could his reason for not agreeing be because he would struggle to see his young son?

I follow most of our players on twitter and Miller clearly dotes on his little boy and am guessing if he moved to flat cat and whippet country and or beyond he would very rarely get to see him, can't speak for you but if that was choice I faced I know what I would be doing!

The club clearly want him to go and off the wage bill, and that being the case the answer is possibly quite straightforward, drop the transfer fee, if they do that, who knows we may yet be able to bring in a much needed replacement

I don't hate the guy. Hate is a strong word. But I do prefer my footballers to have ability and not to cause trouble. Epic fail on both fronts.

Darragh said on twitter he is unlikely to sign next season over his salary so could just be his blarney.... Equally he'll be off. O'Malley is a good enough replacement at L1

OK, let's see how much Daz Moody really does know.

Three out, one in, his sources tell him.

Lloyd, Miller and Anderson out, two of them on loan.

Hope he's right tbf.

Wait for our resident expert (Chompy) to say that Tyler will be OK for the rest of the season.
Being happy never goes out of style
