More a creative Midfielder...
I don't see Lloyd Lopes Anderson or Doughty creating much.
And Edwards is out until the spring.
Exactly. Anthony Grant often seems to be ploughing a lone furrow (not particularly creative but superb at winning possession) and if he is injured or suspended then we are going to be in a right old mess. Doughty blows hot and cold, Anderson is still a mile away from what we need, Lopes has a hamstring strain and Lloyd is certainly not a creative midfielder. Kanu is looking as if he plays more as an attacking midfielder than a creative midfielder and at Luton he had a top game.
We really do need that creative link in the middle to help out Grant.

I hope not - if we want to maintain our chance of the playoffs, but for the right offer, I think so.
But with our gate and FFP restrictions - its almost accepted.

So it should be.

DMac bought him for less than half a million and can sell him six months later for ten times that. Kudos.

Not many were lauding him as a signing at the time, as they were all wrapped up in that joke Gormley character.

Watch them start moaning though if he goes and the goals dry up. Idiots.

If he goes the goals will dry up...Take M&M out of the team and our attacking threat is nullified.

Darragh knows that if he sells one of them then any chance we had of reaching the play offs are dead in the water.

I'm convinced that both will stay until the summer and we have the chairman to thank for that....

How many other lower league clubs on gates of under 5k can afford to turn down the sort of cash we are for our top two players.

This suggests that the Chairman is serious about a promotion push and wants to keep the squad together for the rest of this season and will sell Marriott in the summer if we can't offer him Championship football next season.

Fry....Deal agreed for a right back.

I would have thought another striker would have been top of the list.

How many right-backs do we need ffs?

We'll now have three decent RBs and only one LB.

I would have thought left back ahead of right back.

Hughes is steadyish...but he's no Callum Elder.

Shepherd has come in and done well...So tough on him.

Would seem Penny is on the way out.

Off to Crewe on loan at the end of the month. Fair enough I guess. He's easy to pull for as his attitude is so good, but whether he's ever going to be top-end L1 standard is questionable. And he'll never be Championship standard.

Shephard is in pole position whoever comes in as cover.

No more incomings before the Oldham game says DMac.

I'm assuming any striker/strikers coming in will be towards the end of the window, once JM has or hasn't been sold for six millballs +.

Without yet having seen either Ward or Cooper in action, I'm happy enough. Both fit our profile, have been on our radar for a while and are first-team ready.

For the first time in ages we'll now have an impact sub on the bench.
