Charlton v Posh

Post by tonyp » 25 Nov 2017, 20:56

Do we assume that as Charlton is a top six club we might have a chance of winning?
I don't think so
It seems to me that this game will prove that we can lose to the top clubs as well as to the bottom ones.
I'm with Bristle on this one.
Charlton 2 Posh 0.
Like Bristle I hope I'm wrong.

In Kent Live
Charlton manager says he is really pleased with his players.
'Shocked' Karl Robinson can't blame Charlton Athletic players for defeat to Scunthorpe.
We have a game on Tuesday and if we win that, we’re a point behind Scunthorpe with a game still in hand, which is against Shrewsbury.

GM said he'll be ringing the changes for this match.

LDSL still the first name on the teamsheet though no doubt.

We'll probably lose...but there's always that element of doubt with us.

McCann has to freshen things up...and maybe even put player's in their right positions.

Our away form reads 0 in 7...and it's 4 wins in 15.

Hardly gives you confidence does it.

Going 1307 choo choo but without the optimism I would like.
The thought of that fat smug scouse t!*t smirking his way through a post match interview after a home victory is too much to think about.

How can he do that, according to most people we only have one right back and he's injured, apart from Hughes who everyone seems to think is not a left back we only have Freestone, who most think is not first team ready. Centre Halves Taylor + one from Penny, Hughes, Calamity or Taff. Wide right the inconsistent MM, central midfield Grant + one from Slowouty, Forrester, Ya-Ya, Leo or Chettle. Edwards presumably back from his sabatical should play wide left, that leaves two of our blank firing forwards, Marriott, Idris, Windy or Lloyd because according to the experts on here Dangermouse isn't ready. As Leo has to play perhaps he could go in goal

"The inconsistent MM"

Posh fans should be relieved he at least shows up more than most...Our last 2 league wins have been solely down to him.

Without him...and who's to say he won't go in January...We would be in a far worse position.

So two brilliant games and a couple of average ones I'd call that inconsistent.

It's a good job he's had 2 brilliant games and a couple of average one's...

Or we'd be in the bottom 6 at best

I didn't say leave him out or get rid, he'd definitely be in the side, but he would be a Premiership player if he could cut out the average performances

Most of us would call the Posh form so far this season inconsistent.
My worry is that it is getting closer to consistent.
