Alan Swann attends Posh matches because he's paid to. Well known he's been a Leeds fan since the 70s.
we all have a cross to carry :D
I'd drop the bloody thing if I had the need to support 'Dirty Leeds!'
The thing is back in the 70s most of the kids in Peterborough supported (well said they did) Leeds, Arsenal, Chelsea or Livepool

fortunately some of us saw the light :comeon:
Plymouth to Portsmouth 2017 -2018, that ain't far

If Posh bias is what floats your boat though....Tune into Phil Adlam on Posh match day live as well as listening to him interview McCann.
That's a bit unfair, he's employed by the club and is on club duty 24/7 he will hardly risk his job by being critical of anyone.
Yes...I get that.

He's just so one sided though it's bordering on sickly.

Swann says it how it is....I like that.

SP isn't negative all the time.

Funny that tony thinks he's in a position to criticise another poster though.

I don't like swanny at all. Bit of a poor journalist - most of his articles come from other people's twitter feed or direct from Darragh - but at least he isn't one of Darragh's sycophants... "ooh Darragh I love you please can you retweet I've bought tickets for Saturday" LOL

I agree a lot of his reports etc seem to be 2nd or 3rd hand, but surely that's the same for many so called journos

He's not...

It's not a problem for me though as I have no interest in what he has to say anyway.

At the end of the day though...He's just a local journalist.

He's not afraid to criticise Darragh...McCann...or any player when he feels it's deserved.

He's very approachable on Twitter as well

He is until you have a different opinion.... Trots out all his "I've got 500 million followers" tripe usually. Forgetting that quite a lot of people follow him for his regular updates at Posh games, which he does well. But that doesn't even make him a backwater journo.

Changing tack slightly, it just me or do others feel Mr Swan is more than a tad bias (or worse blinkered) with his player assessments?
There are some, Taylor, Edwards, Madison to name but three of about half a dozen who regardless of how they pla, he appears to drool over with a never question or criticise undercurrent, yet others he is almost relentless in both his indifference towards them and worse quite dismissive of their contribution.
I know its all subjective, but we as fans all watch the same game and yet so opposite are his opinions that at times I question whether he is even there
Correct, although he does attend games - but so does Adi Mowles!

 Brilliant.
Not well known at all.

I have known him most of that time and it is Liverpool who are his 'second' club

I see Lister was spot on with his research again then.
:P
I (and Super probably) have no idea who Alan Swann supports. If DaveLister made a mistake so what? His point remains valid. Wycliffe pointed out his mistake.

My bad, I was given bad information by another Leeds fan who knows you both.

How do you support two clubs anyway?

Wouldn't say I don't like him. I've always found him very approachable when I've played in games he's refereed and I found him to be a decent official. Mind, he never booked me when I perhaps gave him a reason

When you ask him about something he wrote in his column though, he does have a bit of a habit of hurriedly backtracking, especially on the subject of Arsenal for some reason.
