Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month

Post by tonyp » 10 Nov 2017, 09:49

SkySports Goal of the Month
Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for October.

Ben Whiteman - DONCASTER ROVERS v Southend United - October 7
The second goal of his hat-trick, Whiteman waited for a defensive header to drop to him and demonstrated impeccable technique to sweep home a thigh-high volley.

Graham Carey - PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v Shrewsbury Town - October 14
There was only thought in Carey's head as he strode onto a loose ball, weaved his way between two defenders and stroked a pinpoint 20-yard strike into the top corner.

Marcus Maddison - PETERBOROUGH UNITED v Shrewsbury Town - October 28
Vision and audacity combined beautifully in a goal for the ages as Maddison spotted the chance to drive a 40-yard volley over the head of stranded visiting goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Vote for Maddison!!
Being happy never goes out of style

Audacity sums up Marcus very well. That award is a nailed on certainty for magic Marcus. It was a lovely goal that anyone from any club would surely admire and vote for. I think it's also a certainty he will be sold for big bucks come January.

Fancy a side bet?

I say he'll still be here come February.

We need him as a role model.

You may have noticed he doesn't do that anymore - and it's spelt 'roll' anyway!

It can be too!

Spelt | BBC Good Food
https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/glossary/spelt
Spelt is an ancient member of the wheat family and an evolutionary hybrid of emmer wheat and goat grass. Its high energy content led the Romans to dub it the 'marching grain'.
