what building site do you reckon he'd be labouring on if he couldn't play football then stuie?
but he can play football, his parents put a lot of time and effort in to this

by the way, nothing wrong with working on a building site

Clubs can be punished by the FA for employing 'known' suspect players.
That's a new one if true. Which I have to say I doubt given that Nile Ranger keeps finding clubs, even when he had a crown court case hanging over him that led to a custodial sentence.

Miller was cleared of his previous charges whilst at Luton, although they did choose to sack him afterwards.

We will have to read what the facts are behind his latest brush with the law on Wednesday when the ET report from the Magistrates Court.

Of course it's true, any future indiscretions will not do the club who employs him any good at all. First of all it was a six game wait before he could be intelligible to play, now the further wait until he is proved to be guilty or otherwise of current suspicion of indiscretions. Now tell me that is good for the club.

'Not doing the club any good at all' and 'Clubs can be punished' are very different things.

Are you au fait with the legalities here Ceenitall? If not, it maybe best not to comment.

Don't think that's true, remember when he joined reading about it and I think they sacked him before it even got to trial

Wasn't Ched Evans signed by Chesterfield before his conviction was quashed?

Everton signed the newly released from Barlinnie, Duncan Ferguson too.

yep, if it's a criminal offence, then surely its up to the courts, and they punish, not the employer, unless in a restrictive trade (eg school teacher), not football

Considering I was a referee for 15 years, took an assessors course, got the badge and served on an FA disciplinary committee....yes, I know what I am talking about, Maybe you should stick with your boozing pals and shout from the terraces.

Maybe you could fill us in then?

How can the club be punished here?

Were Chesterfield punished for signing Ched Evans?

As I have previously stated, the club has already been punished by not having Miller available for 6 matches. I am not stating he is a bad one, but he is certainly unpredictable. With his record who know what he may do, if it results in suspension then the club is being punished. Needless to say I wish him well and hope he adds to Posh's fortunes.

Aah, so when you said 'Clubs can be punished' what you actually meant was they're being punished by not having the player available due to suspension?

Roflcopters!
