Grant said that he has a month to prove himself. Well that is twenty minutes from the bench in the last three games and that was against Woking! How is the lad going to prove himself if he doesn't even get on the pitch?
I did wonder about this, but it could be Grant is looking for an improvement off the pitch too? Maybe it isn't coming in training either in which case that could explain why he's not getting game time. Grant clearly thinks he won't add to the 1st 11 even as a sub so he must be seeing the same as the rest of us and realising he's not up to standard

If I were Adil Nabi I'd take up cricket, if he can't get a game in this shambles there's no hope for him

That's the long and short of it John. ...

If he can't get on as a sub ahead of a kid and a defensive midfielder when we're losing 3-1 then there's no hope for him.

He's on his way out for sure.

The only thing I disagree with is that we dont know if he is up to standard or not, and I keep harping back to last years exploits. Yes it's in the conference but so what, as it has been proven this season the standard is a hell lot better than I thought it was. But if he does leave next month, and as GM clearly doesn't want to play him, that now looks a certainty I kind of hope he doesnt go somewhere and score bucket loads. Don't know why but that would actually pee me off a bit!

Nicky Ajose and Coulimane went elsewhere and scored plenty early, but each just turned out to be no more than a purple patch.

I can't remember us ever releasing a striker incorrectly.

When Gormley goes, that will 100% be the right decision too.

I'd be happy with one. Marriott, Morias plus one other, with Kanu for bit parts.

A different option. Kieffer Moore, Christian Doidge.

Doidge Chompy?
I know he has been in fine form this year, but would be fascinated to know how many he scored in the conference last year because I thought you were against signing from lower leagues?
If we are going to get another striker in, especially someone six foot+ surely we can utilise the loan market like so many other clubs have done so successfully?

I've never had an issue with signing from the non-league, but there aren't that many hidden gems down there. Morias turned out to be one, but I'd expect only one in around five to cut it at L1 level. Penny has a chance. Lloyd doesn't. Miller doesn't.
