Tonight may answer a few questions, given the magnificent start to the season and the woeful displays of late.....has something happened between the Manager and the players?
The owner has stated he wants to win the Checkatrade competition....An interesting evening lies ahead of us.

Northampton have an aging, lumbering strike-force and JFH has been setting them up to keep games tight in away matches since he took over.

We do NOT need three at the back.

We need Taff to look after Revell for this, and one other. Looks a good chance to give Penny a run out.

We do NOT have any specialist wing-backs at the club.

LDSL will NEVER be a wing-back. Use this game to try him as one of a front three imo.

I'm going to keep banging this drum. FOUR AT THE BACK. End of.

We have two decent specialist left-backs at the club in Hughes and Freestone. We also have a very promising right-back in Liam Shephard.

Play them in their correct positions for the rest of the season in a four ffs.

Gwion can play left wing-back but only because he's a talented footballer. He can play that role, the same as MM can play left-back, but it's a waste of his qualities.

4-3-3 please. Or 4-5-1. Same thing in effect but seeing three up front will appease DMac.

O'Malley; Shephard Taff Penny Hughes; Grant Forrester Jermaine; LDLS Marriott Maddison

It's the tinpot trophy and it doesn't count for a lot, but I'll be eagle-eyed from half six onwards waiting for this teamsheet. It'll answer a few questions re: GM.

4-4-2, which is a result.

Looks like Leo is being tried on the wing.

Think this formation is a hundred times better than those we've gone with lately.
