Charlton v Posh

Post by tonyp » 26 Sep 2017, 07:43

According to comments on the other message board there is a possibility that this game, scheduled for Saturday October 7th, may be postponed because of possible international call ups.
PUFC are selling tickets.
Anybody know how much notice has to be given to call a game off because of international call ups?

Anybody know when a decision will be made

The game is not all-ticket, but fans are advised that the price will rise by £3 per adult/concession ticket when purchasing on the day of the game. Please be advised that this game falls on an international weekend so the game is subject to change should three call-ups be received by either club.

I'm sure you're right (they couldn't make you use them at the re-arranged game could they!)
This what they're saying on the other board
They are saying on their site that their d**head manager has said even with 3 call ups they wouldn't have cancelled the Oldham match the other week so doubt he'd do want to postpone ours.
Suddenly he's not so bad
TBH if I was manager and was losing Magennis and Da Silva and had Ricky Holmes out injured, I'd be trying to postpone the game. It seems nonsensical to play from his side.

Rules aren't right, but they are there to be abused.

Don't shoot me if it's wrong Stuie but on the other board it says "Official Charlton twitter account tweeted this lunchtime that the game is likely to be postponed due to international call-ups"

OK What are you all going to do then?
It is Non League Day 2017 so you could go and watch a local non-league team.
And think of the good old days when we were non-league.
You could go to see Peterborough Northern Star play Rothwell. They could do with your support!

The postponement of this game couldn't have come at a better time after the way things have gone since the Wigan game.

It had home win written all over it.

The re arranged date wouldn't exactly fill you with confidence either.....
