Posh v Bradford City

Post by tonyp » 04 Sep 2017, 00:36

Bradford City 3-1 Bristol Rovers
A superb Charlie Wyke hat-trick helped an impressive City side to a deserved victory over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
We might be in for a high scoring game.

This fixture has been men against boys for the past couple of seasons...and it will be interesting to see how we cope with what will surely be a physically powerful Bradford side.

A couple of the lads I go with are of the opinion that...barring maybe Rotherham...We haven't played a decent side yet.

With Bradford and Wigan hitting town this month...We are about to be tested.

Was saying the same to someone after Saturday's game.

Bristol Rovers we just caugfht at the right time. We'll know much more about our season after this month's busy schedule.

Miller on the bench you'd imagine.

Definitely. And we all hope we'll stand the test. At least I presume even the couple of lads you go with hope so too.
I might add that a mate of mine (who supports a Championship team) thinks that Posh's easy run is over already.

Time will tell.

I must be supporting the wrong team I honestly thought the team I follow were top of the league, must have dreamt it, reading the comments on this thread we are doomed and have no chance of gaining a single point this month.

....Who said that?

What has been said is that we have tough matches coming up...Bradford Wigan Oxford etc.

I can't see where anyone has said we won't gain a point.

Agree totally. We will now see just how deep and effective our squad stands up to several really tough games.

Nah, his mates are the type of Posh fans who DON''T hope we'll stand the test. Worth double checking though for sure.

SQUAD is the key word here, Ashman.

Take Taylor and Grant out of the side....and I'd have concerns.

These are our two key men...Experience and class...We can't replace that.

None of us is supporting the wrong team bristle.
There is no doubt that we have some tough games coming up.
If we do well this month (as all of us hope we will) the pessimistic comments should disappear (including those from my Bar, whoops, Championship club supporting mate).

That is why I mentioned 'squad;' but I do worryingly agree with you again (and it is good that you agree with me too!) I would probably include Doughty in that too!

For those who can't or don't read it here's a comment/prediction made on the other message board -
Going.
Posh 1 Bradford 0 (Miller, last minute. Rips his shirt off, jumps into the LRE, gets booked, shoves ref, sent off, banned for six games)
7312 (1500 Stripeys)
