Ricky Miller ban

Post by john316z » 15 Aug 2017, 17:56

Probably been answered elsewhere but does his 6 game ban relate to League games only or include cup games? Is Checkatrade Trophy also covered?

Covers all games as he wasn't in the squad v Barnet so the Southampton U21s game will be the last game of his ban.

Thanks, great news - hopefully be like a new signing if he can adjust to L1 football quickly

So, if he gets into the team, his first game will be against Fergie's Doncaster Rovers.
All the more reason there should be a good crowd there on that day (September 2nd).
(including a large Posh following).

So you think the debut of a former non league player is "all the more reason there should be a good crowd on that day".

This is confusing me now as have just been told that with the PL's backing there is a new ruling in place where the players suspensions dont count in the Checkatrade trophy, which if true means it might not count as one of his six games.
If it is the case it might also suggest he may even be able to play in it, if he can't but the match doesn't count of one of his matches nonw the less then he won't be able to make hua debut at Rotherham after all, but the game after?

.....anyone confirm?

Not quite as simple as that thediceman.
I think there will be at least some fans (from both clubs) who will want to see how Fergie's current team perform against his old club. I also think that there will be some Posh fans who will want to see how Miller performs.
In my opinion it suggests a good attendance. Time will tell.
