Games 2017-18

Postby ashman » 16 May 2017, 08:20

Losing seven teams and gaining seven. Which ones are you looking forward to or dreading to attend? It's going to be a lousy season for us away travellers!

Losing:

Sheffield Utd,
Bolton
Port Vale
Swindon
Coventry
Chesterfield
and/or Bradford/Millwall

Gaining:

Blackburn
Wigan
Rotherham
Portsmouth
Plymouth
Doncaster
and one of Exeter or Blackpool

Of these Plymouth and hopefully Exeter are the only ones I am likely to attend although I have been to Pompey a couple of times so depending on day I might make it again

I missed a couple of games away this last Season, but the coming Season by the looks of it could mean missing maybe 5-6, re. healthwise.

Portsmouth Plymouth and Exeter, is a long way to travel for us up north, however would love to make a weekend of it and visit some of these grounds, Luton would be fun

Carlisle and Luton now discarded, so it's now down to Exeter or Blackpool. Whatever way, the travel plans for next year are going to be severely tested.

I suppose every team hopes for a Saturday/Tuesday away fixture v Fleetwood and Blackpool with an extended week end away, personally I'm still hoping for a return to St James Park although the view from that high up is not that clever
