Posh v Oldham

Post by tonyp » 15 Mar 2017, 11:39

Well, Oldham beat Oxford last night - which is more than we were able to do. They will be expecting another 3 points from this game.
I think they will be disappointed.
Posh 5 (CMS, Grant, Forrester, Morias, Maddison) Oldham 3
and I'll get 250-1 for that scoreline.
Easy money I say.

Poshies v Oldham

Post by Chompy » 15 Mar 2017, 11:48

Evens Posh
5-2 Draw
11-4 Oldham!!!!!!

We know the drill by now.

Lads training well, it's all about us, Fortress ABAX etc.

Oldham are in the process of climbing away from the relegation zone and a win here would leave them 4pts behind us. Shows how far backwards we've gone.

Oldham know how to defend and fancy them to win to nil.

If he persists with his diamond formation Oldham will ease their worries.

oldham are climbing out of trouble under sheridan...they had another good win last night against a team that laughed at us at times last saturday.

he will be well aware of how they bullied us off the park at their place a few weeks back...expect more of the same this time around.

this is more our level though...lower half of league one football...and i'd expect us to at least give them a game this time around.

i wouldn't bet on it though.

Honestly do not know what to expect from us.

Will expect Oldham to battle hard and take a physical approach.

Although I think we generally do okay at home to them !

Hopeful more than confident!

Would you say that the standard of the opposition has any effect on how we play?

That could be why the Chesterfield game was so good then.
If Oldham are as good as Chesterfield we could well be in for another exciting game with lots of goals (5-3 for example!)

Er, what?

If Oldham are as good as Chesterfield...

Chesterfield are woeful. We achieved nothing in putting three past them and still failing to win.

You might want to check out Oldham's defensive record before making lolpredictions. They are on as much of an upswing as we're on a downswing.

11-4 Oldham is a great bet.

I could have said if Oldham are as bad as Chesterfield.
I'll make lolpredictions whenever I like. And I agree with nipper Posh 4 v Oldham 11 is much less likely than Posh 5 v Oldham 3.
