Chesterfield v Poshies

Postby Chompy » 12 Mar 2017, 01:04

Chesterfield are hopeless, can't buy a win and are in deep relegation trouble.

Home win it is then.

11-5 Chesterfield, 13-10 Poshies (lol), 5-2 Draw.

Chesterfield-Chesterfield HT-FT can be backed at 9-2.

Think we all know the drill by now. We'll look good for 10mins, then get caught, and give up.

Fear not though, the lads are looking good in training.

Grant will be in real trouble Tuesday when it comes to the team sheet. His first choice, Nichols will be possible but when it comes to Lopez he will panic. Nichols has not worked out....has he?... Go on admit it. With him it is not experience or games played, it is in his head...yet another foul up when CMS set him up, that was criminal......and improving he is not.

A team doomed to relegation against a team in free fall and finished for the season.

What a game we have here....Not.

At least we will be at our level...because we can't deal with anyone above us in the table anymore.

I wouldn't rule out a home win here.

Retain my faith in Nichols 100%. It's not only him that's suffering on the confidence front and there's only one man responsible for that.

I'm assuming we'll set up to grind out a win here, with Bozzy and Grant in front of the back four.

I give up. There's a huge difference between confidence and bottle. What more does Nicholls want than the pass from CMS?

May as well read Tim Stoodley's match preview.
I think he's suggesting we'll win.
He does report some interesting information.
"Only two teams have conceded more than The Spireites this campaign"
"they are the division’s third-lowest scorers, averaging less than a goal a game"
"Tuesday night will be manager Gary Caldwell's tenth game at the club. Since joining he’s experienced winning just once."
"The referee will be Sebastian Stockbridge. He’s officiated 32 games this season, dishing out 130 yellows. That’s an average of 4-a-game. He’s also sent off a league-one high of seven players. He took charge of our game against Bury as recently as January. We were smashed 5-1 on that occasion."
"Last five games; Chesterfield - DLWLD Posh - LWLLL
Previous meeting; 10/12/2016 (Sky Bet League One) - Posh 5-2 Chesterfield"
_ _
This game has Home win written all over it.
But I'm going for Chesterfield 1 Posh 4.

Chesterfield's stats rather go out the window when the opposition's confidence is shot to pieces.

GM still making the right noises in the pre-match blahblah, but we're in the process of finding out just what they're about as a group and how much they really want to play for him.

we've been garbage since xmas....little signs of that changing anytime soon.

a victory over a team doomed to relegation will mean next to nothing.

It would mean 3 points, which would make a pleasant change!!
