DMac.

There has to be at least a small chance that DMac is close to saying Goodbye to Posh.
His new website here makes interesting reading.
It's obvious that all of our problems are his fault -
2006 – At 30 I became the youngest owner and chairman in Football League history when I purchased Peterborough United Football Club and my ten years at the football club has seen me take the club to many great heights with successes such as 3 promotions, 1 major cup final victory, plays offs, multiple years in the Championship which in itself is a major achievement for a club of Peterborough’s size. We have consistently been one of the top 30 clubs out of 72 league clubs over this 10-year period under my guidance and leadership.

"1 major cup final victory" goes to show that he is not exaggerating. :)

It was the first time in goodness knows how many attempts we had come close to winning one of these competitions, but to call it major I agree is a tad over egging it.

Salesmen keep on selling and peddling over exaggerations. It is in his modus operandi.... He'll be doing the same with the club come May!

Calling the jpt a major cup final is exaggeration indeed, however the fact remains - pre dmac , competing in the championship and multiple promotions was a pipe dream. Yes , we've suffered more than our share of relegations too, but we had to have the promotions first.

Today, a poor season is seen as failure to challenge for promotion to the championship. Ten years ago, a good one was a decent challenge for the playoffs from league two. Any way you want to slice it, we have progressed in those ten years.

Peterborough United Chairman Darragh MacAnthony Believes Spurs Loanee Keeper Isn't 'Cost Effective'.
Read about it here.
DMAc admitted that the wage demands of the promising young keeper will prove to be a little too expensive for his club to grant.
Dion Henry doesn't even make the bench. Tyler is past it.
So, we'll be looking for another goalie for next season. A cheap one at that.

Yuh, and Pele's retired.

Neil Etheridge will do.

...A real blow for those that thought we could ever get McGee on a permanent

We tried to sign the Crewe goalkeeper Ben Garrett earlier in the season...He wanted the move but his agent's demands scuppered it.

Wouldn't be surprised if we went in for him again.

Of course it's not a blow for those who would have been quite happy to have Tyler in goal for the whole season.
As for Ben Garratt (are you doing it on purpose Super?) if Crewe stay in League 2 he'll probably be too expensive for DMac.

Maybe McGee will come back if we get promoted this season? Putting Tony back in goal (he's a seasoned penalty kick stopper after all!) would be too expensive fro DMac?

Almost certain that a) we'll get promoted and b) a keeper with the talent of McGee would want to return.

Tyler would have been fine in goal this season if needed.

Don't try and attack others to compensate for your lack of knowledge tony.

It's all a about opinions, Chompy.
In my opinion-
It's not even "almost" certain that we'll get promoted.
A keeper with the talent of McGee would prefer to be playing in a higher league.
Tyler is on the bench because that's where he belongs.
If I were to "attack others", as you do, it would not be because of lack of knowledge.

What year?
Luke is clearly no longer enjoying his stay and there is not a chance in hell we'd see him back for another season now.
If we'd gone up it may have been different although his salary is way above anything we'd ever afford.

Re Tyles, I do agree. He'd have been fine this season.
Earlier in the season and pre us struggling however Luke was outstanding not just fine.
It may not bode well for his future career if he finds a lack of form for himself matches that of a team he plays in.

Still would of course be a great addition to the club but it ain't going to happen and those who thought there was ever a chance if we stayed in Division 1 is deluded.

Ah yeah but hang on a minute....

Barry told us earlier in the season we could get him on a permanent.
