Poshies v Rochdale

Postby Chompy » 21 Feb 2017, 23:29

6-4 Posh, 15-8 Rochdale, 12-5 Draw.

Who says bookmakers always get it right? That's a theory so out of date it's laughable. Bookmakers aren't really bookmakers any more, hence they come up with prices like this.

No Grant again, no Forrester again.

A team on a sharp downward spiral who've scored 10 goals in 11 games in 2017, with a strike force who've managed 15 between them all season.

Yup, well-organised Rochdale must be dreading this trip to Fortress ABAX.

How many Cup finals do we have left? Just lol.

Away win.

Too many cup finals to go.... Another season ending whimper beckons. When will Darragh throw in the towel? But he's no quitter!

Can't see anything here other than another home defeat...and possibly another big one at that.

A decent side Rochdale ..With an excellent manager, he must have been rubbing his hands together after watching that nonsense last night.

More multiple changes no doubt...but a simular outcome.

3 points for the Dale.

Looks to me like a must win game that we're likely to lose.
I suppose we could hope that they get 2 or 3 players sent off in the first ten minutes.

well, I'm going to see my Folks, so it would be rude not to go
Rochdale to Bolton 2016 - 2017

Keith Hill, the best lower League Manager working today. We could well learn another hard lesson.

One of the best he certainly is....How we could do with someone of his quality and experience.

He's even managing to get a tune out of NML.

I think we need to keep in mind here that Rochdale are only one point and one place above us and they haven't won since the 2nd Jan, so I don't see what makes them such a power house that we are afraid of them.

Totally agree but some people are only happy when they're not.

The fact that we've been so poor but still only 5 points off the okay offs tells how poor this league is AND we still have a chance of we can strong together results at home. Doubtful but still possible....

Ain't that the truth.

Definitely correct John.

Onwards...and sideways and backwards probably.

"the standard of this dour league." Therein lies the possibility of Posh making the playoffs.

so that's
60-40 that Posh win
75-40 that Rochdale win and
96-40 for a draw
If I'm reading it right the odds right now are
Posh 17/10
Draw 12/5
Rochdale 6/4
So that's
76-40 that Posh win
96-40 for a draw and
60-40 that Rochdale win

Presumably that means the bookies now think that Rochdale will win. And they still think that a draw is the least likely outcome.
I agree with Chompy "Who says bookmakers always get it right?" I hope they are wrong.
