It looks like Ball will step into suspended Grants position with Jack coming back in with Taffo. The so far disappointing Samuelson could show what he is supposed to be about tonight alongside perm any two from four strikers, probably Junior/ Angol but who knows? Maddison HAS to start ahead of walk it inTaylor. We can't let Southend get a grip on sixth spot so let's hope the inconsistent Posh are in a mood to win this one.

In the pre-match press conference Grant Mccann pointed out Dominic Ball’s role as a holding midfielder during Rangers’ march to the Scottish Championship title last season. If Ball switches position, it could enable central defender Jack Baldwin to return to the starting line-up.

Possibly the most negative blog post I've done so far but have a read anyway, and of course feel free to disagree :-)

I hadn't realised that Bostwick might be back, given that information I'd ditch the awful diamond that just doesn't work, we could go with three central defenders and Ball or Bostwick in front of them. Smith and Hughes or B-W can all capably play as wing backs, this line up without so many flare players we might have half a chance of getting a goalless draw, the four at the front can be drawn from the hat, include Lopes, Inman, Samuelson, Taylor, Maddison, Nichols, Angol, Morias, CMS.

You know full well GM will not drop the diamond and will not play with wing-backs.

I suppose, your hoping he won't as it'll make your bet nailed on.

I'm hoping he gets his 102nd.

Prices opened 13-10 Poshies, 11-5 Southend, 5-2 Draw.

Now 7-4 Posh, 7-4 Southend, 5-2 Draw.

That's closer but I'm not hedging any of my 2-1+.

Don't think this would be my line-up for tonight. Not sure what Ball & Taylor did wrong on Saturday to not be included though. Can't see that Maddison or Samuelsen did anything either to warrant a start - Maddison was a passenger yet again even if it was only for 20 minutes. Hey-ho, I may be wrong though.

Mcgee
Smith - Taffazoli -Baldwin - Hughes
Inman - Bostwick - Ball - Taylor
Morias - CMS or Nichols
