We were deservedly beaten by a bigger stronger fitter...and far better football team. They are top of the league for a reason and will go up as champions.

I thought we did ok...We defended well against two excellent strikers at this level. We weren't overawed in midfield ..an impressive debut by Grant...but Fleck ran the game.

Our problems continue up front though...CMS worked his socks off but our lack of firepower is costing us. We had one shot on target and that was a daisy cutter from Maddison.

No excuses and no complaints today though....We got what we deserved and what I thought we'd get.

Of course I was there. I nearly went on to help baldy with his skip but thought better of it.
The blades looked average imo.

Average?...

They were too good for us all over the pitch.

So you'd have to say that makes us poor then.

Disappointing to have lost but the positives Innman and Grant both sounded positive on the radio get Bostwick in there too with Forrester we could have a combative midfield. With still enough creation. Maddison and Cms or Morias as a front two

To all those Sheffield fans reading this....You scraped a win. You will probably scape promotion too. You won't be any good in the championship anymore than Wigan are now. You have had 6 years in division one so don't build your hopes up and oh yes Wednesday are a bigger and better run club.

The Posh fans were out sung/chanted by the Blades despite being greater in number. On the other hand we didn't misbehave as the visitors did when they finally scored the winner ; that resulted in at least one steward receiving medical attention. On the whole though their presence was good natured and the walk back through the City Centre with them will be long remembered.

Forrester has to improve enormously to get back into the side when Bossie comes back. Not fair to judge on his cameo yesterday I know, but he contributed nothing in his 30 minutes or so.
Looking at the stats for yesterday they did indeed dominate us all over the pitch especially second half.

forrester is a good player on his day....but like a lot of ours, he's over-hyped.

he's a long way behind the likes of fleck and morris.

unfair to judge him on a 25 minute cameo coming off an injury though Brian

Forrester is far and away our best player.

Which is why this current squad will never get promotion.

It 100% won't, even if we do force our way into the play-offs.

GM had a lot of damage to repair from Medals' joke spell at the helm though and we now have the makings of a good squad.

Taff, Baldwin, Bozzy, Forrester, Grant is a good, solid spine.

Three of whom were missing yesterday and yet we still took the best side in the league to two minutes from a draw. I think you underestimate some of our players, are you now saying Maddison is no good? Edwards has performed brilliantly this season as has Nicholls.

Nice bait Bristle, but you'll need to try harder.
