Posh v Sheffield United

Postby tonyp » 05 Feb 2017, 01:54

1 Sheff Utd... played 30 .. points 60
2 Scunthorpe played 29 .. points 58
3 Bolton........ played 28 .. points 51
4 Fleetwood.. played 30 .. points 51
5 Bradford.... played 30 .. points 50
6 Southend... played 29 .. points 46
7 Rochdale... played 28 .. points 46
8 Posh.......... played 29 .. points 44

I'm not making a prediction. It's getting boring being right all the time. But I do hope we'll move up the table after the game.

Big day for the club this...and a big crowd.

They've been allocated 4k tickets and the motorpointless stand...it's the only time this season it'll be full.

If our core fan base show up we could push 10k

As for the game...They're even money favourites and rightly so....

They've had a little blip but appear to be out of that now..They'll be too much for us.

I agree with all of that except the last bit.
I don't have your advantage of seeing the Port Vale game but from what I've read if CMS, Morias, Anthony Grant play well and if Forrester plays we could give Sheffield a very good run for their money.

Sheff.Utd are a very good side. Great support, noisy fans and picking up plenty of points. We will have to be TOTALLY on our game, 100% effort, determination and teamwork, no excuses and then we have a good chance of producing a shock. I reckon 2-2 or 2-1 to us at this stage, see later in the week what the teams are. Should be a good game for those that go for the standard of football and not the result.

Team should pick itself here....

McGee...Smith Ball Tafazoli JBW....Grant Forrester Edwards Maddison...CMS Morias.

So change a winning formation to 4-4-2 when 4-3-2-1 has given us a result, Junior scored his two goals courtesy of replacing CMS at the head of the attack. Nicholls apparently had a good game, but don't let that stop you trying your best to get him out of the team.

Bore off with your formation nonsense.

Morias came off the bench and scored two goals....That will be enough to ensure him a start.

It's got nothing to do with what I think of Nichols.

As I said...I've got nothing against Nichols, I rate him as a player.

I don't know where you've got the idea that I don't...unless you've just made it up.

Morias is pushing him for a start after his double yesterday.

It's one thing coming on in the final few minutes when the opposition is knackered ; quite another starting and keeping up a threat well into the second half.

:stupid: although Junior is proving his worth, despite the predictable knockers having a pop because he's not scoring in every game. It's hard for him to play 90 minutes every week in league one now, given the step up he's made.

Continue with CMS and Nichols for me. Juniors time will come, CMS isn't a long term option at 32.

Indeed. Some were already worried about his chances as early as the 1st of this month.

Morias played a similar role to CMS, at the top of the formation, so if Morias starts, CMS probably will not.
But I thought CMS did enough in the game to justify his start in the next game, as did Nichols.
I expect the only change will be Forester coming back, probably at the expense of Leo, who really needs a rest
