Well, Man United tried stealing our song.

Daily Mirror have rectified that! Take a read.

It's funny how football chants get parroted. I wonder how long before other clubs fans will pick up on that song. I even heard the Lincoln fans sing the walking in a winter wonderland song last week. Parrots.haha.

It originally came from rugby league. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ON3jhFe3rU
Jonny St Ives started it with POSH.

We were also the first club to go "Steaming in" none of this "Marching" nonsense.

You should have gone to Dublin then mate. Our singsong at Shelbourne pre dates that video of your rugby mates.

hi FC United of Manchester fan here - in peace!

PUNK FOOTBALL v PRAWN SANDWICHES

A relative of mine who is a big Posh fan mentioned this thread to me.

Sorry but you're all wrong. It was FCUM fans who started it, not Posh and not Leeds Rhinos.

It's been our "Punk Football" song (btw it's "got punk football on my mind") for at least 5 or 6 years, way before you Posh fans picked it up.

check this out
www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LuJ8cw9he4
That was us singing it at our FA Cup Qualifier game at home to Hereford back in October 2012.

also this
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9ADS0xF_jk
fast forward to 1min 5 secs. This one is a Sept 2012 home game.

But we'd been singing it even before that. These video pre-date that Leeds Rhinos video and it was well before your Irish tour at Shelbourne.

Not having a go at you and it's good that you get behind your team. But credit where due please!
It's never wise to believe what you read in papers like the Daily Mirror!

Cheers and good luck to Posh!
