Posh Vs MK Dons - Designated Chris Turner Day

Postby PoshDrummerAdam » 23 Jan 2017, 17:38

Designated Chris Turner day. All can be found on the posh website.

http://www.theposh.com/news/article/201 ... 33279.aspx

Also, Darragh has just said on twitter the following:

"If we get 8k attendance at home against @MKDonsFC on Chris Turner day, Ill personally donate £5k to @SOGstatue Fund. Come on 12's!"

We over did the Dons in their back yard in August 2-0, but it's the first time we've faced them in a few years without Karl Robinson. Big game for myself - my partner supports the mongs!

My favourite game of the season...and for me, the biggest.

Northampton may be our big local derby...but nothing gives me more pleasure as a Posh fan than putting this mob in their place...Robinson or no Robinson.

I hope Darragh gets his crowd. ..but 8k is a big ask against a 'club' that has no history and not a great following

3 points tomorrow night would help a bit though....

If we beat Oldham 2moro then may get near to 8k, if we lose or draw then forget it.

Just a thought. Why don't all POSH season ticket holders use their £10 guest voucher on Saturday (If they have one left)
That would hopefully get us over the 8000 mark.
:)

I have had half a dozen messages telling me some POSH are bringing as many as 6-10 'extra people with them on Saturday.
Some utilising the vouchers but mostly just dragging friends/family along.

It would be amazing if all of us brought even just 1 friend/enemy/family along.

Go on, just try. Explain what the man means to us POSH and if they have any feelings whatsoever for the club they'll come.

Thanks.

Alternatively....

Bring anyone along that hates The Franchise for what they've done and stand for.

11-8 Poshies, 2-1 MK, 5-2 Draw.

I fear we're catching the Mongs at a bad time here. They're better away, we'll have loads of fairweather "Awwwww" merchants present to try and knock the confidence out of Tom Nichols as per.

Chuks ran the show in the 5-3 demolition of the Wobbs last weekend according to my sauces. Think they'll do well to still have him after the window closes.

Will be backing MK at 2-1 and Chuks in various goal markets.

Of course, though, I'll hold fire until I've seen tony's score prediction. We all need to take note of the guesses of someone who hasn't seen either team play since fire was discovered and who knows nothing about any of the players.

Back on thread, it's unlikely that today's performance will help in getting 8,000 to the game on Saturday.

Sadly, I reckon Darragh's £5,000 offer for the CT fund will be safe in his wallet. :(
If anyone can, McCann can

2000 short of the 8000 that DMac needs to give Adi £5000 towards the CT5 fund.
If DMac could sell 2000 tickets at £5 each that would pay for his donation and give him £5000 pocket money.

Thanks for hijacking the thread which was the match but (for some of us) more importantly the CT Day.

Yes it was supposed to be for the CT Day and I apologise for my part in the thread drift.

I hope the day turns out to be a success and that you get the 8000 you are looking for. And that they all join in at 5 minutes etc.

So that this thread can stay as the Chris Turner Day Thread I have started another for the match itself.
With a bit of luck one of the mods will delete all of the irrelevant posts on here.
Some have already been deleted.
But the new thread has also been deleted.
Seems a bit odd to me.

Shame about that Stuie. CT5 needs as many as possible for the Chris Turner Day
