Our kit - home and away

Postby tonyp » 21 Jan 2017, 22:42

Can someone explain the rules regarding the colours we play in?
In the good old days we played in blue and white unless there was a clash of colours when we changed to red and white.
Now we have an away kit.
Do we play in that kit for every away game, regardless of clashing? If not, who decides?
For example against Swindon why couldn't we have played in our blue and white kit?
And why do we need a third kit?
I can't believe any team has a kit that would clash with our horrible away kit but if it did happen would we play in our third kit?

Money, Tony, just money.
We should play in OUR blue and white whenever we can at away games.

I agree, but today we could at least see our players clearly! Was it me or were the Swindon lights a bit pathetic?

When we played away to Sheffield United this season we played in blue and white.
Who actually decides?

If there's a colour clash...We switch to the away kit.

There was at Swindon...White shorts/White shorts.

There wasn't at Sheffield.

My favourite subject

we should buck the trend, and actually make more money (or the same)

always wear blue and white, unless there is a clash, then play in white and blue

or

have a permanent away colour (eg Man city, or arsenal, and use this unless it clashes, and hey ho play in blue and white)

Stuie...Now that you have been accepted as a member of our elite clique, I must correct you on this...

Blue /White. ..White/Blue ..still too much colour clash.

We like the Hi-Viz away kit....

But prefer the All Black that we wore at Old Trafford.

Fair enough. When do we wear the third kit then?

In that case, I think we should all throw in a few bob and buy the players some blue shorts so that we could have played at Swindon with blue tops and blue shorts. Much better than that horrible yellow colour.

In 13 away games with 33 points on offer a return of 21 points is superb - conceding only 12 points and scoring 21 points in a yellow kit suggests that it is a reasonably lucky kit that the players can enjoy playing in. Keep it and make stewards play in a non-clashing colour!
