Bury v Posh

Post by tonyp » 10 Mar 2018, 23:45

If we want to be in the top six and two points ahead of Plymouth on Tuesday night we 'must win' this game.
Bury will be fighting to get out of the bottom four.
I can see Evans playing a similar team to the one that beat Charlton and we should come home with all three points.
Bury 1 Posh 2
It's a long trip on a Tuesday night for everybody except Stuie so most of us will be watching it on iFollow.
About 200 poshies there.
Odds according to the Official site
Bury 19/10 Draw 23/10 Posh 7/5

I've just clocked their pitch on the FL Show...A mud heap that isn't going to suit the way we would normally like to play.

I'd say under McCann, we'd lose this....but the new regime will have us motivated and committed for what will be a totally different type of game than Charlton.

They're poor and they're struggling...it'll be a difficult evening but you'd be disappointed if we didn't come back with 3 points.

I'd say under McCann we'd have beaten Charlton and we'd beat Bury.
But is there any point in talking about what would have happened?
We all know we have a new manager and we should just support him.

Yes...Great listening.

He's trying to give these players confidence...and making the youngsters feel a million dollars.

Hopefully they'll reward him with 3 points tomorrow night.

Great listening, and a bonus to be followed straight by the Charlton highlights

I'm sure that the couple of hundred Poshies there will join in the applause.
But not as much as at the end of the game when they applaud the players for the win.

I think that this would be a good game for LDSL to sit out. The break would give him time to take confidence from a relatively promising performance against Charlton. Doughty and Anderson showed enough in that game to challenge for that starting position. In his brief appearance, I thought Anderson was a revelation: strong, purposeful, aggressive and creative -- the complete opposite of the shambling clown who stumbled through forty-five minutes at the Abax before getting hooked at half-time against....Bury.

Anthony Grant didn't make the 18 on Saturday...

This is his type of game, if he's not in the squad tonight...Think we know where he stands with Evans.

As for the game...Anything other than 3 points for a team pushing for a play off spot against bottom of the league will be a huge disappointment at best.

If Chompy’s signature is correct then 11/8 looks like a licence to print money

I believe we're still awaiting an apology from Hantsposh.

...We certainly are.

He/She has gone very quiet all of a sudden.

At least Ashman apologises when he's wrong.
