Re: posh v plymouth in the 70s

This was the last game of the 74/75 season and they needed to win to claim the 3rd Div Championship but they didn't, Tommy Robson scored in the first half in front of their fans at the Moys End and that shut them up and it sounds like they are still brooding about it because they have been s**t ever...

Re: Aston Villa V The Posh

Look , if your not interested in the FA cup please don't post about it on here. I wouldn't go on a TV forum. for instance, and post how crap TV is now. If it's that meaningless to you, don't go to the game. Find a different hobby. There are a lot of people who are interested in this game and I will...

Re: Posh v Bury

Chris Turner, great manager, player and club legend as the club was in his soul, but the football we played under Fergie was the best I have ever seen at this club.

Re: Posh v Bury

They score more than us? :clap2: Ever since Fergie left again we've lacked a bit if character IMHO.... A glut of different managers but same problem. I'm not GM's biggest fan but it does seem to a club problem. And no, I don't know what the answer is.... McCann has been present throughout it though...

Re: Fleetwood v Posh

I noticed that, in the wall for the free kick from which Fleetwood struck the bar when leading 2-1, we had Danny Lloyd, the shortest man on the pitch. Doughty's headed goal: how many headed goals have we had from open play (not from dead-ball situations and excluding the Wimbledon own goal which pa...

Re: Anthem/ signature music

Absolutely agree with others on this thread that cheesy music (or any music for that matter) after a goal should not be allowed. If we don't have the Post Horn Gallop, when the players RUN out, then "Posh We Are" is the only alternative, which has got me singing along with the feeling, we're gonna c...

Re: Anthem/ signature music

Back in the day the whole build up to kick off used to be very exciting and the crowd used to build up for 45 minutes before the start, anticipating seeing the team RUN out of the tunnel for the first time, accompanied by the Post Horn Gallop which used to make the hairs on your neck stand on end. T...

Re: Poshies v Blackburn

I think it was very much the right thing to give a minutes applause for Andy Mills on Saturday, but I think it should have been done before the match or at half time, as I believe that it affects the players concentration, doing it during the game. I'm not saying this was the reason that we were so ...

Re: Poshies v Blackburn

An excellent game of football throughout..........apart from the first 5 minutes of the game and the first 15 minutes of the second. Best football otherwise played this Season and we deserved to win it. If both teams had played the whole game,... that was as good as I have ever seen in League 1. I ...

Re: Posh v Southend

And it's for UK based people as well as for overseas people. Ridiculous  I know it is more difficult to do in this country as we are so small but in America a 'local' TV station can not show a live game (American Football) until a certain % of tickets have been sold for those who make the eff...

Re: Posh v Tranmere Rovers FA Cup

Tranmere fan here... Looking forward to our replay, although I doubt you'll underestimate us the second time around and I fully expect you to show your class! To anybody who is planning on travelling, the main new addition since your last visit is the Fan Park beer tent in the main car park, which ...
