Re: Style of play.

I saw your face go rather white after Gillingham's second goal but you make a good point, that we seem, well in the last two games anyway, to only react when we go behind. Lazy attitude maybe? How this can be countered, I don't know. Maybe make that observation if you manage to get Evans down to Eb...

Re: Style of play.

I am not convinced we have an actual 'style of play'. Yes we are strong and powerful but we are not brilliant at defending so sitting back, inviting the opposition on and playing on the break can be problematic. When we go forward, en masse and at pace we look virtually unstoppable but we only seem ...

Re: POSH at Gillingham

Do you honestly think that sort of thing should be allowed in football, if a player from another side had done it to one of ours you would have been screaming blue murder It happens all the time unfortunately in modern professional football. I'm not condoning it, I didn't even spot the incident; it...

Re: POSH at Gillingham

Exactly. It was a good team goal involving Walker, Maddison, a superb ball back to Walker and an incisive through ball forward to Toney who took a short but excellent touch onto Madden who finished in style. Walker will struggle in this team unless the long ball tactics are not reduced. Nothing wro...

Welcome to the board all you newbees, I wonder what has changed to bring so many new people to post. I don't know but at least they realise it was against the imposters that walker impressed  Exactly. Re: POSH at Gillingham

It is a horrible place even if it was scorching, thank goodness we know a decent pub en route as the town is a disgrace.

Win 2-1 as we can't seem to keep a clean sheet.

Re: Pompey Saturday

If you'd have read my post first instead of assuming I was getting on my high horse after one defeat you would notice that I was suggesting starting Toney, in place of Dembele, the width can still be supplied in a 4-3-3 by the fron two spreading out, in the same way CMS and Washington have done in ...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Having watched the full game on iFollow, I thought it strange that none of our giants could get a head on the ball in the penalty area, Taff, Bennett, nd throw in another midfielder, if that tactic still doesn't produce results then a plan C needs to be found. We pump balls in to our supposed good ...
