Re: George Boyd

In 1973 Posh signed a 33 year old called Freddie Hill from Manchester City. He was about as quick as a tortoise, could only use one peg, he used the other to stand on, but he was one of the best, if not the best midfield player ever to play for Posh. He was instrumental in getting the club promotion...

Re: New Players

Re: Pompey Away

I didn’t see this coming.

We’ve won 3-2. Toney with the winner.

Re: Pompey Away

Despite the doom and gloom over whether Evans or Fergie is better, or worse (shades of playground spats over’My Dad is better than yours’), Posh are 2-0 up at Pompey. Tomlin from a Maddison cross and Toney with a fabulous header from a Maddison corner.

Interesting result last night - Doncaster 1 Accrington 2.

Are Doncaster getting the jitters?

Re: POSH v GILLINGHAM

Well, 3 points is 3 points, but 39% possession at home against a mid table side doesn’t sound too promising. Look forward to reading the reports from those who were there.

Ernie Moss

Those of us of a certain age will remember Ernie as an old fashioned, if somewhat immobile, centre forward who had a brief spell with Posh under Noel Cantwell in 1975-1976 playing in 35 games and scoring 9 goals. He is better remembered at Chesterfield where he is a club legend playing in over 500 g...
