Re: ex poshies

Neither is correct, I just consider that Scots have always had a chip on their shoulder. Denis Law was a great player, Alex Ferguson was a great manager, but the league up north is a joke, as is their international side. To be fair it wasn't always that way. Even back to the 80s Fergie did a great ...

Re: Evans critics

I was delighted when he arrived and happy for him to be as obnoxious as he likes if he gets results. I'm not bothered by his chequered past other than his success in getting teams promoted. I hear the fact that he makes digs at the club prior to joining but wonder if fans would care if it was anyone...

Re: Posh v Luton

"Peterborough United manager Steve Evans is preparing to gamble on wantaway winger Marcus Maddison in tomorrow’s League One clash with Luton at the ABAX Stadium (August 18, 3pm)." Sigh, so it begins. Inevitable I guess. Best way to get him out the door assuming he doesn't want to be here is the num...

Re: QPR v Poshies

I see the usual twitterati idiots have laid into Denton already. After 1 game when we were poor throughout and against better opposition. But clearly if you can tweat you're an expert now Throughout? Were we? :o Sorry I meant throughout the team rather than the whole game.... Rather bizarre to be t...

Re: Rochdale v Poshies

Great awayday to start our campaign. :clap2: Hard to pick a man of the match, I thought. One of the back line perhaps but no the front line were in with a shout. Toney for making the space for our last goal? Maybe Dembele? Chapman? Nah what about the midfield? . What about Evans beating his heart/b...

Re: Deadline Day.

Now Marcus is staying then of course he should play !! Why not play your best, and only flair player. Toney and Marcus would be lethal. A rumour is circulating that Maddison doesn't want to play for Evans and wants away as soon as possible. Move to West Brom fell through as they had "issues with hi...

Re: Deadline Day.

Trouble is it was tolerated as the star performer. Anywhere else and he's just another player with potential. Anyone that knows Evans knows he won't tolerate what previous managers turned a blind eye to. Shame because he should be able to perform at levels higher than say Boyd or Tomlin but probably...

Re: Transfer RUMOURS IN

It's no surprise that despite the success we have with strikers from lower leagues that agents use their influence for a quick buck and go to a championship. Potential would seem greater for the right player coming to us but hey ho! How many clubs would have risked Marriott last summer? Also wonder ...

Re: Transfer RUMOURS IN

Yeah I agree. Tyrone Barnett was a big old boy but we know how that went. Midfield scoring goals? What an interesting concept! :D I like the movement of the two up front on saturday and whilst cummings especially needs some more fitness (says me!) and could do with a goal even this early they worke...

Re: Transfer RUMOURS IN

How many striker's have we missed out on this summer? Frustrating. Very true. But we have made some, hopefully, very good signings and only a few weeks ago people were enthusing about the potential signings of Matt Godden and Jason Cummins. My preference anyway is not to rely on a big lump up front...

Darragh on potential signings before deadline day....

"No irons in the fire"

Hilarious.
He needs to have words with hi manager then as he's expecting 2 or 3 more. More fake news from the chairman :clap2:
