Like comparing Maddison to Ronaldo. Utterly ridiculous
Surely that has not been done?
Based on the original poster suggesting that we sold both too early... comparing the 2 is nonsense as they are millions of pounds apart

Re: Jaanai Gordon

I seem to recall him being the next big thing when he went to West Ham. Was sat thinking about older players this evening and couldn't remember his name at first. If I recall he was very talented and maybe moved on to quick, now currently not signed to anyone.. Anyone else think this may be the cas...

Welcome to the board all you newbees, I wonder what has changed to bring so many new people to post.
Ah I wondered why it's been so quiet..... Clearly blocking out broader opinions?

Re: Pompey Saturday

If you'd have read my post first instead of assuming I was getting on my high horse after one defeat you would notice that I was suggesting starting Toney, in place of Dembele, the width can still be supplied in a 4-3-3 by the fron two spreading out, in the same way CMS and Washington have done in ...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Toney to start for sure, especially if we persist with the long ball game employed on Saturday. Maddison I would keep as a sub until his fitness levels improve (hardly any pre-season of any consequence) and then this brings into question, 'Who do you drop' for these players? Cummings, Godden, Ward,...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Did Posh have a bad day or did we stop you playing? I reckon we had control of you until curtis went off. I don't know if either team will get promoted or not but I'm loving it at the mo. We had a great day out. You've got a great couple of stands. The atmosphere was great in our end not sure what ...

Re: Pompey Saturday

If you need a good laugh head over to .net. some of the comments on there   Calling for Baldwin and Grant back.... No midfield... Blah blah blah.... I had to check the table for a moment as I though we must have got relegated rather than being 2nd It would appear Wycliffe may be the only...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Yes no shame in losing today. I'm not seeing what Maddison is offering even in his cameo subs appearances now. Can't believe how much his stock has fallen in such a short space of time It's such a shame that Marcus's 'stock has fallen' as you say. It has been a tough time for him. He's obviously a ...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Pompey had the edge over us all over. We made a real game of it after our subs. came on. Maybe Maddison should have appeared after half-time. Yes no shame in losing today. Re: Pompey Saturday

Such a shame because, once again, we get a big crowd and we fail. I hope they return and help us on. Glass half empty tonight Ashman. We didn't play well but enough positives for me in some of the performances by the players. No shame losing to Portsmouth today. We made more mistakes than them, whi...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Excellent effort from the Posh fans. I just hope we put on a good show as so often we get a good crowd and don’t perform as when we can. Next home game the returners fail to show up again! Or look at the positive. Big home crowd. Ground should be bouncing.... You never know it might be influenced b...

Re: Pompey Saturday

Well I reckon you'll turn up for this one. If you don't get 10k you may as well give up. But hey a big following doesn't mean jack does it. I got a soft spot for Posh. Does that bloke still walk round the pitch with the posh hat? Thinking about it he probably don't as he must be brown bread by now....

We'd have lost that game a year ago.
Spot on and a few more this season. Can you imagine last season coming back from 3-0 down or lettering the other side get back to 2-2? We'd have just rolled over. Great stuff this is!

Good bit of exposure on Evans. Interesting comment on being only manager to sound out Fry for opinions since Fergie. Hopefully a few readers on here are getting converted....
