Re: New Players

I have been reliably informed that we have just signed Mo Eisa from Bristol City for a club record fee. Wowzer now mr Gaz I have seen him play, against Posh and he was superb. Yep, good player. As he was spotted last summer, he is effectively an Evans signing  first spotted in 2017 when we pl...

It's all looking quite good at the moment, but then again I say that every season
At the moment, we have signed five lower league players - that's it.
4 lower league players, Beevers was in the Championship last season

'Manager Darren Ferguson has made his fifth signing of the summer with the arrival of highly-rated goalkeeper'

Who's the 5th? Thought it was only 4

Pym, Beevers, Blake-Tracy & the kid from Flyde, or does Blake-Tracy count as two coz he has two names

Re: Pre-season games

Tuesday 16 July Stevenage away 7.45pm
Saturday 27 July Grimsby Town away 3pm

I'm sure a few fans will have a day out by the seaside in Cleethorpes if the weather is clement

Re: New Players

I wonder if there is a thread where people discuss the last two manager and the current one, and another thread about new players, shame really I would have liked to have welcomed the new lad from Kings Lynn (Is there an apostrophe) there is indeed Bristle, it's King's Lynn. Lynn is a medieval word...

Re: New Players

Mr Raynor, your mate is at Gillingham now so you can toddle off & tickle his considerable belly there from 01 June. Evans failed twice end of story & was only in a play off place because Donny had a game in hand due to their cup run FACT!! & anyway regardless of results you don't seem to understand ...

Re: Pompey Away

Where did that come from??

Travelling back on the dangerously rammed train with the Pompey fans most seemed to have expected it with lots of typical Pompey comments but a few said they would rather play Donny in the playoffs than us potentially as we score goals!

Blackburn away is a tad harder fixture than Walsall.

Anyway, we were sixth when Evans left us. Anything lower at the end of the season is a failure.
and Evans was a success????

Re: WALSALL v POSH

Gaz that 'mentally strong' squad was assembled by Evans, whether or not Fergie is the right man (I'm not sure for what its worth) Evans assembled that bunch of gutless jokers last summer assuring us all how 'mentally strong' they were compared to those he shipped out.

Re: Ernie Moss

Is he a member of the PFA?

I remember him playing for Kettering Town in the twilight of his career, he was certainly a unit who could put himself about but was a hard working honest player.

Re: Ferguson & Strachan

Spot on. Got it in one! That is how you may feel, but just for a moment remember where we were when he took over, and then think of where we would probably be without his input, I would look forward to trips to Bath, Salisbury, Swindon Supermarine and Chippenham but I'm sure regulars would not welc...

So, back up to where we were when the Yes man took over.

It’s the easiest run-in in history, so no excuses to at least make the play-offs
Really???? 6 of the 7 sides in the top half including Portsmouth & Sunderland, 4 away games out of 5? Think you’re confusing our run in with Doncaster’s.
