Re: Charlton v Poshies

That was well worth the tenner. First time I've seen the players and they look really good.

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street

Still a selfish view Bristle, which your response confirms. That's great about your family but not everyone is so fortunate. Quite clearly you have no understanding on the reality of young people today. You can be well paid and struggle to come up with the 10% deposit (usually minimum £10k) these d...

Re: Theresa May to make statement in Downing Street

What about the people who were too young or hadn't been born yet? Very selfish view Bristle. I had very little money, we were so skint most of the time we had to order bread and milk from the milkman so we could pay at the weekend, couldn't afford to go to the shops. This was of course under a Labo...

Re: ex poshies

Neither is correct, I just consider that Scots have always had a chip on their shoulder. Denis Law was a great player, Alex Ferguson was a great manager, but the league up north is a joke, as is their international side. To be fair it wasn't always that way. Even back to the 80s Fergie did a great ...

Re: laughs of the day

I just bought a vintage Rolls Royce, but the budget didn't cover a driver.

So I spent all that money, and I've got nothing to chauffeur it.

Re: laughs of the day

My boss told me that there is no such thing as problems, only opportunities.

I said, "That's great. Well I have a serious drinking opportunity"

Re: "Why we let 18 go"

I still think our team from 60/61 would beat this lot, probably only 1-0 most of them are in their 80s now and some are dead

Re: "Why we let 18 go"

I have been a long term convert, but the top six side of last season you refer to should have been top six with a better man in charge. It was obvious for some time that those players did not want to play together as a team or for the manager. We did however have to keep supporting them, both the pl...
