The Posh under 23s are at @AFCWimbledon today. Team line-up: Chapman, Lyon, Freestone, Cartwright, Garner, Barker, Gurney, Burrows, Buckley Ricketts, Stevens, Shackleton. #pufc coming back from 3-1 down to win 4-3 with a hat trick from Matty Stevens  :clap2: Isn't it about time that Matty Ste...

Re: Who was your first Peterborough United idol?

A lot of his heading power came from his hand a lot of time lol Yep, I can remember him doing that as well! It was laughed at then but if it happened today it would cause a complete outcry of cheating and calls for bans of all sorts. The difference being the amount of money involved between now and...

Re: Who was your first Peterborough United idol?

Peter McNamee - who played for Posh in the team that were promoted into the league. 1960 and I was only 9 years old and maybe it was because he played on the wing and he was closer to us youngsters for 45 minutes each game. He was one hell of a player though and scored and helped provide so many go...

I'm another fan of Denis Emery, but my all time favourite was George Hudson, never seen a forward head the ball with such power.
Yep, made my neck ache just watching him head a ball! (and don't forget that was with a water sodden leather ball with stitches in!)

Re: OXFORD V POSH

I've seen a lot worse. Game could not get flowing as ref was far to keen on stopping it every 5 mins. Maddison's yellow was ridiculous and I am sure they took longer than us over a throw in.... Toney never gets a foul against him even though he's pulled about all over. Overall pleased with the 3 po...

Re: Past and Present Players

Last night's televised match was a credit to League 1 football with Sunderland and Stanley serving up a feast. Baldwin was up to his old tricks though, giving away a penalty and getting the obligatory yellow card. What the Sunderland fans think of him. NSFW https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threa...

Watch out. All those who professed to never come to Posh while he was here will swell the attendance to 14,000 + - not!

Re: Aaron McLean

Is this really good news all these oldies coming back, not sure it is myself Can't really do any harm, surely? It may not be able to do any harm but what good can it do? It's a bit late to coach the forwards isn't it? What we need is the manager to get the squad he has into winning form. That's wha...

Re: Aaron McLean

Is this really good news all these oldies coming back, not sure it is myself Time will tell but has it not occurred to anyone that getting a coach of whatever experience isn't going to be easy with 15 games of the season to go? Aaron has relatively recently left a position, doesn't ever need asking...
