Re: DONCASTER ROVERS v POSH

I hope Sadlier is given all the stick he deserves after last season's antics  Such a shame for the lad because he showed a lot of promise when he was with us. Maybe he felt that he didn't get the appreciation that he deserved and decided to take it out on us in last year's game with not only ...

Re: Tranmere v Posh

Not all at once true. The slow mo replays are a godsend too. The save was worth a point, technically two points because in slo mo it was even better, the rebound however could have gone anywhere fortunately it went the right side of the post. That header from Paine was rather badly handled by Pym; ...

I think the majority are a result of improvements in medicine, seems an odd thing to say, but sadly old age brings lots of ills, whereas back in Victorian times and earlier people were dying before the reached the ages we accept as normal today.
True bristle - unfortunately so. Progress??

Re: Sir Tommy Robson

This has had a much bigger impact on me after Tommy Robson's recent tragic announcement but it was obviously already a desperately sad story. Thoughts are also with Stephen Darby who is going through some **** too. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49740638 Totally agree. There are so many **** ...

Re: Pointless Transfers...

Liam Hatch was a pointless signing for us. I can think of worse! Liam was with us for about three years. We paid an alleged sum of £150,000 for him from Barnet and he eventually signed on a permanent deal for Darlington after having had three quite successful loans at Barnet and another one at Luto...

Re: Tranmere v Posh

Surely this suggests another big score for Posh and even another clean sheet for Pym. :comeon: It certainly does, but football doesn't work like that does it, unfortunately. Just ask Pep Guardiola! Clean sheets are not all down to the keeper, in fact Pym didn't really need to have been there yester...

Re: Posh v Rochdale

Excellent tactics indeed but Darren can't have been pleased with the number of times the ball was given away with long passes in the first half. It must have been hard to admonish a side at half time that had come in 3 goals up but in the second half Posh were much more careful with their passing a...

Re: Posh v Rochdale

Ashman did warn us to underestimate Rochdale at our peril. Exactly, I certainly did, and Fergie obviously drilled this into his troops all week and he came out on top and with flying colours! He had been saying all week that Rochdale were a very good and organised outfit and his preparation for the...

Re: Posh v Rochdale

Rochdale played all the football in the first half but hardly had a shot at goal. Posh much better in second half but the 6-0 was flattering. It's no good Rochdale playing all the football but hardly having a shot at goal. I am a great admirer of the way that they play, keeping possession of the ba...
